Attendance: 124 Warrington Town: Chris Oldfield, Mike Duffy, Matt Doughty, River Humphreys, Tom Hardwick, Adam Wade (Kyle Hamid), Liam Shipton (Adam Carden), Dale Wright, Michael Brown (Chris Thompson), Jack McGowan, Chris Gahgan. Subs not used: Jamie Henders, Sam Finley. Harrogate RA: Not available Warrington Town suffered a disappointing smash and grab defeat as they dominated much of the game against Harrogate Railway Athletic who snatched an unlikely victory deep in injury time at Cantilever Park. Town had most of the possession, nearly all of the chances but couldn't find the back of the net. The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the closing stages when central defender Darren Barrick brought down substitute Dale carden when he was through on goal. But deep in stoppage time his fellow centre back Wayne Harratt out jumped the Warrington defence giving new keeper Chris Oldfield no chance. Young striker Jack McGowan, who had been the hero midweek in the cup win over Cammell Laird missed several chances to give Town the lead, while fellow striker Chris Gahgan did plenty of running without creating many clear cut chances. Warrington were denied what appeared to be a stone wall penalty when carden was brought down inside the edge of the box, but the referee only gave a free kick out side the box. It was clearly not going to be Warrington's day. | ||||||
