Subs Not Used: Bradley Maylett, Sean Symmons A wonder goal from new signing Owen Roberts gave Warrington Town a 1-0 win to take their unbeaten run in 2012 to 10 games. The left sided player was brought in on Friday evening by manager Joey Dunn who signed him from Clitheroe. In a niggling fixture between the 2 sides, Town had the better of the chances in the first half with Owen Roberts and Allan Collins going close. Just before the break Rob Hardwick has a shot cleared off the line to send the sides in 0-0 at half time. Referee Mr. Woodwood has to seperate the players on a number of occassions after challenges went in over the top. Town's Nick Jackson and Rob Hardwick along with Woodley's Rowney, McGoingle and Chalmers were all booked. Just after the hour, Town were awarded a free kick, 20 yards out from the Sports goal. Roberts stepped up and his shot went straight passed a flat footed Callum Tongue who had no chance of saving his effort. | ||||||
