TOWN turned in a dismal and disappointing performance at Mossley, effectively losing the match in a first half in which they went down 3-0.
The first chance of the game went to Town, but Phil Hadland was unable to capitalise on it and a mistake by Richard Mottram in the Town goal on eight minutes gifted Mossley’s Dave Hanlon.
Mike Fish put the home side further ahead on 24 minutes and added a third on 38 minutes.
Mossley could have gone further ahead just before the interval but the shot hit the post.
Warrington regrouped at the start of the second half making a double substitution Daniels and Billy Webb replacing Smith and J Thomas.
It was Webb who scored on 51 minutes.
Town stepped up their game but missed out on a couple of good chances. They had the ball in the net only for this to be ruled off side. Mossley extended their lead when substitute Danny Egan scored on 77 minutes.
